On the Sidelines S1E20: Mariners sweep Pirates, Storm take down Atlanta and New York
FOX 13 Sports Anchor Alyssa Charlston-Smith joins Ethan and Dante for this week's episode. The gang opens talking Mariners and their sweep of the Pirates led by the pitching staff not allowing a single run. They also discuss the Mariners four all-stars and the online hate for Julio Rodriguez getting the nod. ESPN came out with a potential trade sending former MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. to the Mariners, we discuss Acuna's potential impact and whether the offer is too steep or not enough. Then, Alyssa gives her take on what she's seeing from the Storm after big bounce back wins over a pair of top four teams in Atlanta and New York. With the Storm sitting just a game out of second place, Alyssa explains why this team has the potential to make a deep playoff run. Finally, BetMGM released a ranking of the greatest current American athletes stemming from another dominant championship performance from Joey Chestnut on Independance Day. Ethan, Dante, and Alyssa debate who deserves to be on the list and Dante gives his top five.
