Senate votes for new spending cuts
It took a tiebreaking vote from Vice President JD Vance yesterday for the senate to advance a spending cut bill that would defund foreign aid programs, public broadcasting and more. The proposed cuts would not make a dent in the $3.4 trillion of spending in Trump's big, beautiful bill.
