Business and occupation tax proposal briefing and public comment

A discussion on whether large companies should be taxed more in Seattle to offset taxes for smaller businesses happened today at City Hall, and the proposal right now would raise the exemption for business and occupation taxes from $100,000 in revenue to $2 million. That means about 90% of businesses would either pay less taxes or nothing at all.
