Sound Transit to open 8-mile Link Light Rail extension to Federal Way, WA
Sound Transit will unveil an eight-mile extension of the 1 Line on December 6, bringing light rail service into the heart of Federal Way. The extension includes three new stations (Des Moines, Star Lake, and Downtown Federal Way) and will take riders from Federal Way to SeaTac Airport in just 16 minutes, connecting with King County Metro and Pierce Transit.
