Former New Orleans Saints safety Steve Gleason is being awarded the Congressional Gold Medal

Spokane-native Steve Gleason is being awarded the Congressional Gold Medal on Wednesday for his work withamyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a disease he was diagnosed with in 2011.
