Gov. Ferguson praises Supreme Court ruling striking down Trump tariffs
Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson praised the U.S. Supreme Court after it ruled 6-3 that President Donald Trump’s use of emergency powers to impose broad tariffs was unconstitutional. Ferguson said Washington, one of the nation’s most trade-dependent states, joined a coalition urging the court to strike down the tariffs, arguing U.S. businesses and consumers were bearing most of the economic burden. The president said he plans to pursue tariffs under a different trade law.
