Washington Senate panel advances proposed 9.9% “millionaire” income tax

A majority of the Washington Senate Ways and Means Committee voted to move forward with SB 6346, which would levy a 9.9% tax on income above $1 million. Gov. Bob Ferguson says he supports the concept but wants more relief for working people and small businesses.
