WA legislative session: Budget, millionaire income tax, flood relief, ICE protection
Washington state's 2026 legislative session starts Jan. 12, and the big question at hand is balancing the budget. Gov. Bob Ferguson has already proposed spending more money than what is coming in, so leaders will discuss what they can and can't do. Other than balancing the budget, other topics include a millionaire income tax, federal disaster relief from widespread flooding and protection from ICE.
