DEA crackdown yields major fentanyl seizures
President Trump has formally designated fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction, escalating the federal response as the DEA reports sweeping enforcement results in Western Washington. In an interview, Seattle DEA Special Agent in Charge Dave Reames says Operation Fentanyl Free America seized nearly 100,000 counterfeit pills and 65 kilograms of fentanyl powder in October, which led to 18 arrests.
