Sammamish-based team competing in world championship robotics competition

A local robotics team of 49 high schoolers called Future Martians are competing in the FIRST Robotics World Championship. They're the only team from the Issaquah area making it to the global stage this year, out of four district teams. In four years, they've gone from a brand-new team to ranked #7 in the Pacific Northwest out of 126 teams. Along the way they've reached over 12,000 people through STEM outreach and mentored 18 other youth robotics teams in the area.
