Gov. Ferguson signs bills on public safety jobs, wildfires, agriculture

A new Washington law expands eligibility for certain non-U.S. citizens to work as police officers, firefighters and prosecutors if they have federal work authorization. Gov. Bob Ferguson also signed measures supporting wildfire response and preserving rare apple varieties across the state.
