Longer growing seasons linked to worsening allergies, research finds

New research from Climate Central shows the freeze-free growing season has lengthened in most U.S. cities since 1970, extending the time plants produce pollen. In the Seattle-Tacoma area, the growing season has expanded by nearly two weeks, contributing to earlier and potentially longer allergy seasons.
