iPhone pill perp: Unique pharmacy robber uses modern-day demand note

WANTED IN KENT -- A pharmacy robber wanted for hitting a Rite Aid in Kent pulls a move we haven't seen before -- he doesn't use a pen and paper for his demand note -- he uses his iPhone. “While at the pharmacy counter he has a phone in hand,” said Det. Melanie Frazier of the Kent Police Department.  “The tech goes to talk with him and he doesn't say anything, he produces a phone and shows there's some type of note or something on the screen. She looks at it and realizes the writing on it says something to the affect that 'this is a robbery, I have a gun, and I will shoot.' You know, it's a different type of robbery, one with an iPhone.  Our concern is he got away with it once, and he may try to get away with it again.”

This guy sure wasn't in a rush. Neither were the pharmacy workers. Both the robber and woman waited patiently for almost a minute for the other pharmacist to get off the phone. Finally, she gets his attention. He keys-in to the drawer where the Oxycodone is, takes it out for his co-worker to bag up for the bad guy -- and all without ever hanging up the phone. Detectives think the pill perp is black or Hispanic and had a goatee.
