Wall to wall sunshine continues into Halloween with chilly trick-or-treating temperatures!

The Emerald City looking gorgeous as skies shined bright today with highs in the low to mid 50s.

We'll remain clear overnight with chilly lows and a frosty start possibly.  Lows will drop into the mid to upper 30s around the Sound.

This set up gives us near perfect star gazing and viewing of the aurora borealis!

The geomagnetic storm should be visible into early Sunday morning by moving far away from city light and looking to the north. The dazzling light display typically can last several hours.  If you're thinking about venturing out Tiger Mountain North trailhead (just off Interstate 90 at exit 20) is a great spot! The gate to the trail closes at 7 p.m., but you can still park on the road below.  Make sure to face northeast, with the mountain behind you to block the lights from Tacoma, making the sky to the north very dark.

The best time to catch the aurora borealis will be between sunset tonight and 3 am Sunday.

Perfect weather for a Seahawks game at Lumen Field! Plenty of sunshine to go around with temps in the mid 50s. Kick set for 1:05pm with the Jacksonville Jaguars in town.

Halloween 2021 won't disappoint either…  trick-ot-treaters will gather candy under mostly clear night, but you'll want to bundle up! Temperatures will drop form the mid 40s to the low 40s by 12am.

The forecast changes as we move into the first day of November with clouds increasing and a chance of afternoon showers as a weak front moves through Monday. Highs cool a few degrees too, landing in the mid 50s.

Tuesday looks like a dry day into between systems.  Highs sit in the mid 50s.

The rest of the week will feature mostly cloudy conditions with showers at times and some sunshine in between as more unsettled weather moves into the region. High hang in the mid to low 50s.

Have a great weekend all! ~Erin Mayovsky, FOX 13 Forecaster
