2 men killed in Everett shooting
Police were called to the 2300 block of Virginia Ave. around 4 p.m. for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found two men dead from gunshot wounds.
EVERETT, Wash. - Everett Police are investigating after two men were found shot to death near the Virginia Corner market on Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the 2300 block of Virginia Ave. around 4 p.m. for reports of shots fired.
When they arrived, they found two men dead from gunshot wounds. One, a 40-year-old man, was found dead in a backyard of a home. Officers then went into the home for welfare check and found a 54-year-old man dead.
On Wednesday, Everett police said the investigation has revealed that the two men were friends and neighbors who lived across the alley from each other. Police said both men were in the home and during an altercation a gun was fired.
2 people dead in Parkland bus stop shooting
Two people were killed in a bus stop shooting Tuesday morning in Parkland, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
Major Crimes detectives are investigating the shooting but said there was not any evidence to suggest there are other suspects.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office has identified one of the victims as 40-year-old Peter Frickey. The 54-year-old is not being identified out of respect for the family. Both died from gunshot wounds.
