Deadly shooting in Kent
Kent police are investigating after one person was shot and killed overnight.
KENT, Wash. - A person was shot and killed overnight in Kent, investigators said.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting after midnight Wednesday near Southeast 275th Street and 129th Avenue Southeast.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive, 32-year-old Lynnwood man with a gunshot wound in his chest on the ground.
Officers immediately started life-saving efforts on the man until medics arrived.
The man died at the scene, detectives said.
According to police, they do not believe that this was a random incident and are investigating this as a homicide.
