Driver killed in wrong-way crash on SR 18 in Auburn
AUBURN, Wash. - Troopers are investigating a deadly wrong-way crash Wednesday morning on State Route 18 in Auburn.
The crash happened on SR 18 and C Street after 2 a.m.
Investigators said a driver in a white sedan was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when he struck two semi-trucks.
One semi hit the barrier and pushed it into the westbound lanes, which involved another semi and a red car.
According to troopers, the wrong-way driver was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
One person from the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both directions of SR 18 were closed and later reopened before 10 a.m.
