Mason County shooting suspect in custody

The Mason County Sheriff's Office says a convicted felon wanted in a recent shooting is now in custody.

Michael A. Beyer was wanted for first-degree assault and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm in connection to a shooting that happened in Belfair on January 6.

On Friday, the sheriff's office says Beyer was apprehended following a vehicle pursuit that concluded on E. Royce Road.

The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old woman, was arrested for attempting to elude law enforcement and first-degree rendering criminal assistance.
