Suspect in custody after shooting in Seattle neighborhood

The shooting broke out Friday evening after a fight between two men.

A suspect is in custody after a fight broke out between two men and one fired a gun, injuring the other.

Seattle Police officers responded to the shooting at Yesler Way and Broadway around 6 p.m. Friday. 

SPD says two men got into a fight and one of them fired shots, injuring one of the man's hand. The suspect took off and barricaded himself inside a building nearby. 

A 58-year-old man was injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition, according to a spokesperson with the Seattle Fire Department.

 SWAT teams were on-site responding to the incident after the suspect ran into the building and barricaded himself in the building. Officers were able to get him out and arrest the suspect around 8:30 p.m. 

The identity of both men has not been released.
