Police investigate after person found dead on Maple Valley Highway
Renton police are investigating after a person was found dead on the roadway Thursday night in Renton. Before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person in the right lane of Maple Valley Highway near Cedar River Park.
RENTON, Wash. - Renton police are investigating after a person was found dead on the roadway Thursday night in Renton.
Before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person in the right lane of Maple Valley Highway near Cedar River Park.
When officers arrived, they found a 40-year-old woman dead at the scene.
It's unclear if she was hit by a vehicle or if she died by another means and wound up in the road.
Her death is being investigated as a pedestrian fatality but the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
