'Graveyard' of debris clogs Lake Washington near Renton after storms

Recent flooding on the Cedar River has pushed a massive amount of logs and silt into south Lake Washington, creating a debris field hundreds of feet wide. While community volunteers have begun cleanup efforts at the Renton Rowing Center, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the sheer volume of material will take time to clear. 

Twin brothers living out their ‘dream’ as officers with Renton Police Department

As December 18 marks “National Twin Day,” the Renton Police Department is highlighting two of its finest officers. Twin brothers, Suliasi “Suli” Tamaivena and Sitiveni “Siti” Tamaivena joined the department three years ago. They were born in Fiji, then moved to California at age four for a couple years, before their family made Washington their forever home. Suli and Siti have always worked the same job together. The twins said they landed their “dream” job with the police department, and said they hope to spend the rest of their careers serving the people of Renton.

The Renton Police Department is showcasing two of its finest: the Tamaivena twins. Whether they're fighting crime or connecting with neighbors, people always do a double take wherever they go.

City of Renton plans meeting with owners of dilapidated office building

The city of Renton tells Fox 13 they have a meeting scheduled with the owners of a former Boeing office building, after it fell into a state of disrepair. The city tells us ION Renton LLC is appealing city-imposed fines. The meeting between ION Renton and the city is scheduled for December 11th.

Teens arrested for shooting at Seattle police officers

Multiple teenagers were taken into police custody following several run-ins with officers on Saturday night. Some face assault charges for discharging a gun at law enforcement among other crimes.
