Serial flasher strikes for third time in 10 days
SEATTLE -- For the third time in 10 days, a man has been reported as flashing young girls on the playground at a West Seattle school. Now, the Seattle police sexual assault unit is investigating and looking for a possible serial flasher.
This latest incident happened just after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Westside School located in the 7700 block of 34th Avenue SW.
A 7-year-old girl told police she was playing on the playground when she noticed a man sitting in his car with the driver’s door open. The school playground is elevated above the street and police said when the girl looked down, she saw the man was wearing a red T-shirt and nothing else.
Police said the girl continued playing with her friends and did not mention anything to the school's staff, but when she went home she told her father about the incident. Her father contacted the school and the school then called police.
A similar incident happened at the Holy Rosary School Wednesday afternoon and the first reported flashing incident also happened there Sept. 9.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s with short, dark hair, a normal to slender build and a scruffy-looking beard. The suspect was sitting in a beat-up small black car that had body damage. Detectives believe that the same man was involved in the incidents on Wednesday, and could possibly be involved in the three reported incidents.
We’ll have a complete report tonight on Q13 Fox News at 9 and 10 p.m.
