Police: 1 dead, 3 injured after driver hits pedestrians near Aurora Bridge in Seattle
Authorities say a driver hit four pedestrians, killing one, just north of the Aurora Bridge. The crash happened at about 1 p.m. Friday on Aurora Avenue N. at N 40th Street. One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and three other people were hospitalized. Hospital officials say a 23-year-old and 63-year-old are in critical condition; a 25-year-old is in satisfactory condition. Investigators say the driver of the car was speeding on Aurora Avenue, lost control and hit the pedestrians. The driver then tried to run from the scene.
