12 year old struck by car during carjacking in Tacoma

A 12-year-old girl is out of the hospital after a terrifying carjacking in Tacoma Wednesday night.

According to Tacoma Police, around 9 p.m., officers responded to an "altercation" on South K Street near South 68th Street.

Police say a 12-year-old girl was struck as a man sped off from a carjacking. She suffered several bumps and bruises.

The suspected driver was arrested about three miles away on South Wright Avenue and Tacoma Avenue South.

He is facing seven different charges, but has yet to be identified.

The circumstances leading up to the carjacking are unknown at this time.
