Mount Rainier free for National Parks Week
MT. RAINIER, Wash. -- It's National Park Week, and from April 22-26 admission to all national parks is free for the week, including Mount Rainier National Park.
Many areas and roads at Mount Rainier remain under snow, but the park is open to Longmire and Paradise. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are still popular activities this time of year. Visitors should check with rangers for current weather and avalanche conditions before heading out for a trip.
The National Park Inn at Longmire is open year round offering lodging and dining, as well as ski and snowshoe rentals.
