New study shows white wine drinkers may be heavy-handed bartenders
AMES, Iowa – The type of wine you drink may play a role in how much you drink.
That’s according to researchers at Iowa State University, who were trying to educate people on how to measure a proper serving size of alcohol.
Researchers say white wine drinkers tend to pour 9 percent more than people who drink red wine. They believe the reason is that white wine blends in with the glass, which causes people to drink more than they think.
The findings of the study have been published in the journal ‘Substance Use and Misuse.'
