Arguably the largest sporting event ever to be held in Seattle is set to kickoff at noon on Friday as the United States hosts Australia at Seattle Stadium in group play of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Keep reading for everything to know about the match, including live updates, scores and key highlights from the United States vs. Australia.

The match features the two teams at the top of the standings in Group D after opening victories for both sides last weekend.

The U.S. delivered a dominant opening effort, dispatching Paraguay 4-1 last Friday night at Los Angeles Stadium. The Americans entered the World Cup ranked 17th in the FIFA rankings and have moved up two spots to 15th in the world.

Meanwhile, Australia has climbed from 27th to 22nd after they polished off a 2-0 victory over Türkiye on Saturday night in Vancouver, B.C.

However, the United States could be without standout midfielder Christian Pulisic, who has practiced separately from the team all week with a left calf injury.
