2 monster gators caught in Miss.
Two monster alligators were killed in Mississippi this weekend, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks said.
Beth Trammell of Madison, Miss., and her team caught a 723.5-pound alligator on Sept 1. The alligator was 13 feet, 5.5 inches. It broke the previous record of 697.5 pounds.
But that new record was soon surpassed.
Dustin Brockman of Vicksburg, Miss., ventured with his brother and friend into the Mississippi River by motorboat early Saturday night and emerged with a 727-pound record breaker that was 13 feet, 4.5 inches long.
