2 teens arrested, accused of burglary

SEATTLE -- Police were called about 11:30 p.m. Monday night after a man reported confronting two teenage boys who were burglarizing his apartment in the 7900 block of Delridge Way Southwest. The boys fled once the man confronted them.

Police took the two 13-year-old boys into custody and they are being held at the Youth Services Center. An officer apprehended the two after seeing them in the area; the two were boarding a bus in front of the apartment complex. Police held the two and the victim positively identified them.

The victim told police that he and his wife were sleeping but were woken by voices and flashlights in the apartment. The man then confronted the teenage boys, who told him they thought they were at a friend's house. He then told the boys to leave and called police.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a back screen had been removed and a window opened. The victim told police that it appeared an iPhone and iPod had been taken. The items were later recovered from the suspects.
