24 crew members forced to evacuate fish processing ship
SEATTLE -- Twenty-four crew members were forced to evacuate a large ship moored at a Seattle Pier Tuesday morning.
Fire broke out in the galley two floors below deck around 3 a.m. in a 167-foot fish processing boat moored at Pier 91 in Seattle. All crew members on board were forced to evacuate, the Seattle Fire Department said. Everyone made it out without injuries.
Firefighters managed to put out the blaze shortly after being called to the scene. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were still being investigated at 5:30 a.m.
