4-year-old girl hit by car in Tacoma, suffers serious injuries, police say

TACOMA -- A 4-year-old girl suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car at 60th and Portland in Tacoma Tuesday, police said.

The girl was transported to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital with severe trauma / serious injuries, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene and was taken into custody for on a vehicular assault charge, police said.
