400-pound high school running back bulldozes opponents
YAKIMA NATION -- A 6'4," 400-pound running back at White Swan High School near Yakima is running down opponents and casting shock waves through hordes college recruiters.
According to Northwest Prep Report, big Tony Picard is the running back and nose guard for the White Swan Cougars 2B football team on the Yakima Indian Reservation. Picard, the biggest running back in football on any level, carried the team to an 8-1 record during the 2013.
Picard, or Big Tone as his friends call him, rushed for over 700 yards and 15 touchdowns. And now that the high school season is over, he has high hopes for a chance to play college football.
"I hope I can go to the next level," Picard told the Northwest Prep Report.
Picard, who is part Umatilla-Nez Perce Indian, is also the starting center for his school's basketball team, the Seattle P.I. reported.
