A gusty and wet night ... but Friday, weekend will be dry



SEATTLE -- A gusty and wet night, with gusts to 35 mph. The strongest gusts will be north of Seattle.

The showers will be heavy at times with most of the rain at the beach or north of Seattle and again south of Seattle. The mountains get a good shot of snow. The snow level will stay above I-90 till early Friday. Stevens Pass and Mount Baker will get 12 inches of snow. The rest of the ski areas will get 3 to 7 inches of snow.

Friday and the weekend will be dry. There will be some morning fog but the days should have some chilly sunshine. Lows will be near freezing and highs will be near 45.
