Alaska cancels some Sea-Tac flights to Hawaii due to storm
SEATTLE -- All Alaska Airlines flights departing from Sea-Tac Airport to Hawaii were canceled through at least 12 p.m. Monday due to a tropical storm bearing down on the Hawaiian Islands.
Alaska announced early Monday morning that the company would offer vouchers to passengers who had their flights canceled due to Tropical Storm Flossie. Alaska Airlines flights from Hawaii were also delayed or called off for Wednesday morning.
Other airlines showed on-time departures to Hawaii at 7:08 a.m.
Alaska Fight 851 to Honolulu departing at 9:10 a.m., Alaska Flight 875 to Kauai at 8:40 a.m., Alaska Flight 843 to Kona at 10 a.m. and Alaska Flight 863 Maui-Kahului at 10:20 a.m. were canceled.
Tropical Storm Flossie has brought high winds and flooding to much of the Hawaiian Islands, with sustained winds up to 65 MPH. Up to 15 inches of rainfall was expected in some areas.
