Armed two-state bank robber caught after running into Portland building; confronting people with gun

dirty 1FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 9, 2013 -- Tacoma police say the armed bank robber caught in Portland on Monday, is the same serial bank bandit featured on WMW for robbing banks in White Center and Tacoma. Portland police say his heist at the Wells Fargo Bank in the Pearl District, ended with him running into a nearby building and confronting people with a firearm. Officers were able to go in and arrest him safely.

WANTED IN KING COUNTY, TACOMA and OREGON September 6, 2013  -- Cops say this serial bank bandit has hit in King County, Tacoma, and Oregon -- the state where detectives think he could be from.   Detectives think it's all the same guy seen above, who's latest heist was robbing the Super 8 Motel in Wilsonville, Oregon last Saturday. In Washington State, he robbed the Key Bank in White Center last week, giving the teller a note saying he had a gun and taking off with the cash -- but not before bank-goers got a good look at him -- and his getaway ride. "The unique thing about this is people describe him as possibly homeless, or even somewhat dirty looking,” says King County Sgt. Cindi West. “We also believe he jumped into a gold colored Toyota Corolla, older model, with Oregon license plates, and fled the scene.” So, the Beaver State is where King County detectives think this guy could be from originally and it appears he was headed south on Wednesday. Detectives say the same suspect robbed the Sterling Savings Bank on Tacoma Mall Boulevard in Tacoma. Detectives think he's white and in his 40’s fourties.
