Baby gray whale in Puget Sound possibly sick

PURDY, Wash. -- A young gray whale swimming close to shore in the Puget Sound is most likely sick, John Calambokidis with Cascadia Research said.
The young gray whale was spotted swimming in shallow water near Purdy, Wash. Wednesday. The gray whale has been swimming around the South Sound recently, and his probably not in good health, Calambokidis said.
The whale was spotted near Olympia earlier this week.
Gray whales are often seen near the Puget Sound, but don't typically make it so far into the waterway.
