Bellevue Christian School teacher charged with child molestation
SEATTLE -- A teacher from the Bellevue Christian School is facing child molestation charges.
Prosecutors say Edward Sloan had sexual contact with a 13-year-old female student during a 2012 school field trip. Investigators said they found at least two other students who had complained of inappropriate contact.
Sloan was put on leave earlier this year.
A statement from the Bellevue Christian School said, in part: "The safety and security of our Bellevue Christian School community is priority number one -- and all employees undergo a screening process that includes validation of their credentials, fingerprinting and a full background check."
