VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The body of a missing 23-year-old Kirkland rafter has been found in the Klickitat River, near the Columbia River, nearly a week after he was last seen going over the Fisher Hill Falls.

KPTV-TV in Portland reported that the body of Christopher Dube was discovered between Fisher Hill Falls and the Columbia River on Friday.  The body was a quarter-mile downstream from the falls and appeared to be lodged on a submerged rock ledge.

Dube was last seen going over the falls July 5.

The Klickitat County Sheriff's Office said Dube was positively identified Monday.

An autopsy was to be performed at the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office in Vancouver, Wash.
