Car windows shot out in I-5 drive-by; troopers search for suspects
KING COUNTY -- Troopers hope the public can help locate the person or people responsible for shooting at a car driving on Interstate 5.
The victim told Washington State Patrol troopers he was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 around 10:15 p.m. Sunday when a dark-colored Chevy Trailblazer began to follow their vehicle, a white Chevy Impala.
The victim continued to drive when the suspect fired at the Impala near NE 175th Street. The victim was grazed by a bullet and not seriously hurt. Two windows shattered in the shooting and the gunshots caused two flat tires. At least three bullets entered the passenger door.
Troopers hope someone who witnessed the shooting will come forward. Anyone with information regarding this event is encouraged to call a Washington State Patrol detective at 245-401-7745.
