Check your water! Niagara recalls bottled water for possible E. coli contamination

Niagara Bottling is issuing a voluntary recall after test results revealed one of its spring sources in Pennsylvania was contaminated with E. coli.

The company says the bottles that are being voluntarily recalled were produced at the Hamburg and Allentown facilities between June 10 and June 18.

Niagara bottles water for more than a dozen brands, including:

Acadia, Acme, Big Y, Best Yet, 7-11, Niagara, Nature’s Place, Pricerite, Superchill, Morning Fresh, Shaws, Shoprite, Western Beef Blue, Wegman’s

The affected bottles will begin with the letter F or A and then show the date.

The company gives this example: A610JUN15 2000 (Allentown line 6, manufactured on June 10, 2015 at 8pm)

"Products made between June 10 a 3 am (EDT) and June 18 at 8 pm (EDT) should not be used."

Niagara officials say DO NOT drink the water unless you boil it first.
