Chehalis inmate on the lam after failing to return from furlough
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help tracking down an inmate released for a one-day furlough who never returned to prison.
Deputies are searching for Kevon Leo Tracy, 41, of Chehalis. He was instructed to return to prison at 5 p.m. Monday. He’s serving time for 1st Degree Attempted Malicious Mischief and is also facing a charge of violating a protection order.
“These situations create a drain on my resources, put deputies at risk, and create unnecessary fear for witnesses and victims involved,” said Lewis County Sheriff Steve Mansfield in a released statement. “We are doing everything we can to locate Mr. Tracy, so the victim can rest assured knowing he is in prison, where he belongs."
Tracy is 5’ 10”, 175 lbs., and has blue eyes, and grey and brown hair.
If you have any idea where deputies can find him, call the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 748-9286 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-748-6422.
