Chris Reykdal will be Washington's next superintendent of public instruction. His statewide race was so close it took weeks after the election to call, Reykdal winning by about 1 percent.
Now the difficult work begins for Reykdal starting with getting state lawmakers to fund K-12 public education, something the Supreme Court has ordered them to do.
