Crazy landing: Small plane crashes on top of Oregon shop building, no serious injuries
LEBANON, Ore. -- A small plane crashed on top of a building in Lebanon Friday, and the pilot and passenger escaped without serious injuries, firefighters said.
KPTV in Portland said emergency crews rushed to the 36100 block of Bohlken Drive at about 12:30 p.m., where they saw a two-seat plane on top of a shop building.
The position of the plane was precarious, so firefighters had to secure the plane before rescuing the two people inside. The pilot and passenger were both conscious and talking to the rescue crews, firefighters said. They were taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
KPTV said there were no immediate details about what led to the crash.
