Crews put out brush fire near several homes in West Seattle neighborhood
WEST SEATTLE -- Firefighters put out a brush fire Monday afternoon that threatened three homes in the Arbor Heights neighborhood.
The Seattle Fire Department first tweeted about the fire around 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Crews were called to the 10900 block of 39th Avenue Southwest.
By about 2:30 p.m., crews had the fire under control.
Seattle fire officials said all homes were saved at Arroyos Beach. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters said the cause was accidental, started by "improperly disposed of staining rags in direct sunlight."
