Cyclist injured when hit by transit bus on Bainbridge Island
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. (AP) — A bicyclist was injured when he was hit by a bus near the Agate Pass Bridge on Bainbridge Island.
The Kitsap Sun reports that the cyclist was traveling south on Highway 305 on Tuesday at about 6 a.m. when he was struck by a southbound Kitsap Transit bus.
The Bainbridge Island Fire Department says the crash site was near a Kitsap Transit bus stop.
The cyclist was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle by a fire department medic unit. Additional information about the cyclist and his injuries were unavailable.
Traffic on the highway was delayed for several minutes. Bainbridge police are investigating the incident.
