Deputies rescue owl hit by transit bus near Evergreen State College

OLYMPIA, Washington -- An owl hit by a bus Sunday night near The Evergreen State College has been moved to an animal rescue facility.
Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to a report of a transit bus hitting an owl around 11:00 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies were able to rescue the owl and it was taken to For Heaven’s Sake Animal Rescue & Rehab.
The owl was hit at Overhulse Road NW and Driftwood Dr.
For Heaven's Sake Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation is located in rural Rochester Washington. The facility says it is 'dedicated to the preservation of orphaned or injured animals by providing quality care & treatment in a nurturing environment while preparing them for release into their natural habitat.'
