Detectives investigate body found along Snohomish County road

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body along the side of a Lynnwood road.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 19700 block of S. Danvers Road around 9:30 a.m. following the report of "suspicious circumstances."

Firefighters located the body and officials called major crimes detectives.

Authorities have not released much information, but did say the person had "trauma to the head."

No further information was released as detectives waited for the medical examiner to arrive at the scene.
