Detectives investigating double murder in Bremerton search Port Orchard home, vehicle

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- Kitsap County sheriff's detectives investigating the shooting deaths of a woman and a 2-year-old boy in Bremerton searched a home in Port Orchard and impounded a vehicle in the case.

The sheriff's office wouldn't say what was found in the home, if anything, or who lived in the home. They also wouldn't say if they found anything of importance in the vehicle.

Detectives are looking for any clues in the double murder case that occurred in a trailer home in Bremerton Saturday morning.

An unknown gunman killed a woman, Heather Kelso, and her roommate’s 2-year-old son, Kaden Lum, and wounded a man before fleeing.

The sheriff’s office says the shooting does not appear to have been a random act. But detectives said they had little information on a suspect and were asking the public for any information they could provide.
