Driver makes U-turn on I - 5, causes crash

SEATTLE - A driver on southbound Interstate 5 decided to make a U-turn and drive the wrong way, and was hit by an on-coming pickup truck, Thursday morning. The female driver was on I-5 just north of the Boeing Access Road when she turned her car around, WSP Trooper Chris Webb reported.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m Webb said. Neither driver was seriously hurt.

The female driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Webb said.

WSP closed the 3 right lanes of I - 5 during the accident investigation and road cleanup.
