Dry in Seattle through Friday; Snow on passes Sunday

SEATTLE -- Happy Thanksgiving. All is good through Friday. Even the air quality improves. Enjoy!!

Saturday, there will be a few showers but not stormy. Sunday will bring a return to mountain snow at pass level, especially Sunday evening into Monday. Sunday will also be quite breezy north of Seattle.

Colder air arrives by Sunday night. Monday will be windy and cold enough for some lowland snow but the main metro area should be OK. I do see some snow for places like Port Angeles, Bellingham and even Everett. Certainly snow for the foothills. The convergence zone will have to be watched Monday evening. If it drops over Seattle we will see snow for the Seahawks game but right now it appears that this will NOT happen. Many updates to follow as we get closer.

Tuesday looks cold enough for widespread icy roads. Tuesday will be dry and cold. For now, plan on much colder air on Monday, making commute times a little tricky.
